as a Tier Two Canada Research Cha
“Just six years since leaving Cambridge, Brianne Kent has secured a role as Assistant Professor, won multiple awards, become the first early career researcher on the Governing Council of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research [CIHR] and is currently setting up her own laboratory to further her studies on Alzheimer’s disease.
Since January, when she took up her Assistant Professorship and a Tier Two Canada Research Chair in Translational Neuroscience and Dementia at Simon Fraser University, Brianne [2011] has been interviewing postdoctoral trainees and grant writing for her laboratory. Doing so in the midst of a pandemic is not easy and supply chain issues are delaying things, but she is very excited about the future.”
