Description of Research Projects:
My previous research focused on how hormonal changes interfere in hippocampal signaling pathways involved in the control of feeding behavior. I have also worked with investigating neuroprotective mechanisms using animal models of neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, I am interested in the contributions of dopamine in the prefrontal cortex, particularly to stimulus-reward learning and attention.
