Our lab members had an incredible time at the 2025 Canadian Association for Neuroscience (CAN) Conference in Toronto, in May.

Paul Sheppard presented his work “Activation of astrocyte Gq-signaling in the dorsal hippocampus is sufficient to facilitate social memory absent changes in sociability in female and male mice”.
Shahnaza Hamidullah shared her research on “Muscarinic modulation of Parvalbumin neurons in attention”.

Samina Panjwani presented her project “Developing a preclinical model of attentional impairments in synucleinopathies”.
Cadence Opoka presented her work “Improving cross-species validity in attention studies through a modified touchscreen continuous performance test” and was also selected for the Trainee Power Pitch, where she intrigued the audience with a question: Do mice and humans have the same cognitive abilities?
We are very proud of our presenters hard work!
