
This has been an incredible year for Cadence Opoka (PhD Candidate), filled with exciting achievements and well-deserved recognition for her research.
She was awarded the Jonathon and Joshua Graduate Scholarship and the Neuroscience Graduate Program Travel Award, and represented the lab at multiple conferences, including London Health Research Day and the CAN 2025, where she delivered both oral and poster presentations. At the 2025 SONA Meeting hosted at Western, Cadence received the Outstanding Research Poster Award for her project “Improving Cross-Species Validity in Attention Studies Through a Modified Touchscreen Continuous Performance Test.”
